Here at AMFM247 Broadcasting and throughout WREB we believe in the freedom of speech. We want to encourage people to speak their truth even if nobody else accepts it. There is a misconception that the 1st Amendment allows you to say anything you want without persecution or prosecution; that is false. The 1st Amendment guarantees that the “government” can not infringe on your right to speak your mind, regardless how hateful or bigoted it is. The 1st Amendment can be overruled in private venues which we have seen on social media. They do have the right to silence anything they don’t want to allow on their platform, even if it pushes an agenda that is harmful to others.

When Elon Musk took ownership of X (formally Twitter), we found that the government DID interfere with some free speech, especially when it came to COVID-19 and social media. We found evidence that the Biden Administration has actively requested that social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter) take down anyone that spoke about alternative medicine for COVID, spoke out against the vaccines and spoke out differently about the virus all together. Social media obliged, and many doctors lost their practices and livelihood speaking their truth about COVID. This was an abuse of power. The government does not have the right to ask outlets to listen to their agenda and enforce it. This same thing happened and is happening to political adversaries to those in power, and social media is willing to oblige.

In a private setting the 1st Amendment is only as good as the outlet and what they choose to allow. It’s their right as it’s their property. They are able to interpret what was said and see if it goes against their community standards. Now keep in mind, the government can’t regulate your speech and you have the right to say it, but that doesn’t exempt you from the fallout of those words. For instance, if you say something incredibly hateful it will bring negative attention to you, your image may be tarnished and some may actively try to harm you – but it won’t or SHOULDN’T be the government. So choose what you say wisely.

We can make a promise, that will never happen on WREB or any of our networks on AMFM247 Broadcasting Network. There are some exceptions though that need to be discussed.

Promote Hate/Violence

We want people to speak their minds but not at the cost of using it to influence violence or hate towards anyone. Example, telling someone to actively stalk or bring harm to someone or their property because you disagree with their viewpoint, religion, sexual orientation, gender, or political affiliation. A good example of this is when certain congress members actively told their followers to search out and disrupt the lives of any conservative they met. Those people found Candace Owens and blew whistles in their ear while they ate. This kind of speech is completely against the standards of AMFM247 Broadcasting across any of our platforms. Its OK to disagree with them, it’s NOT OK to attack them, belittle or slander them because you disagree. Their opinions will allow for an open debate that they will have to defend their narrative against yours, that’s how we civilly allow for open discussion and growth.

Support ANY of These Organizations

You are most certainly allowed to support anyone you want. We support that. We just don’t want a show to use their platform to push their agenda. These organizations we are listing have at some point expressed hate towards someone and or committed or called for violence against someone or another organization. Despite if they have meaningful intentions or not, their actions and narratives have told us at AMFM247 Broadcasting otherwise. These organizations are as follows: KKK, BLM, Antifa, Hamas, Al-Qaeda, Hizballah, ISIS and other terrorist organizations.
