Remember when people were famous for doing something? Remember the days before the Kardashians or Paris Hilton? Back then, there were PR companies and agents. Those people still exist, but now, particularly with social media, you and I can create our own public persona.

Let me put a radical idea forward. What if “everyman/woman/person” aims to genuinely make a positive impact?

On our never-ending quest to Crack the Curiosity Code, Marion Abrams is our guest for the next three episodes. Marion started her film career on PBS specials and NOVA episodes in New York. Her passion was for the outdoors, specializing in shooting and editing action sports like skiing, snowboarding, running, and mountain biking for network broadcasts and commercials airing on PBS, NBC, CBS, ESPN, History Channel, Oxygen, and Spike TV.

Today, she has taken all that experience and expertise and has become one of the world’s top podcasting coaches & consultants. She co-created Spartan Race’s official podcast, boasting over 35 million views & downloads. Marion has worked on a range of projects from social media advisor on a gubernatorial campaign, to creating the documentary film, “Flood Bound,“ to directing TV ads for Vermont Lottery.

On her podcast, “Grounded Content,” which I was honored to be a guest expert on, she explores what drives customer actions and where the lines are between persuasion and manipulation. Brown is the founder and president of FIRE School of Ministry in Concord, North Carolina, Director of the Coalition of Conscience, and host of the daily, nationally, syndicated talk radio show, the Line of Fire, as well as the host of the apologetics TV show, ìAnswering Your Toughest Questions, which airs on the NRB TV network. He became a believer in Jesus 1971 as a sixteen year-old, heroin-shooting, LSD-using Jewish rock drummer. Lance a Marine Corps Reservist had just dislodged a canoe from a rapid when he leaned headfirst into the water to retrieve his ball cap. Lance hit his submerge rock, shattering his C-5 vertebrae, and as a result became a quadriplegic.

Before his injury, sports and competition were always a big part of Lance‘s life. Fast forward 18 years and Challenged Athletes Foundation encouraged Lance to enrich his life through sport once again.

Within a short time, he had earned 7 gold medals in shooting at both Marine Corps Trials and Warrior Games ultimately leading him to be identified as a Paralympic hopeful and becoming a shooting coach for the Marine Corps Wounded Warrior Regiment.

Lance now cycles a one-of-a-kind tandem hand cycle engineered and built by an incredible team of professionals. Since he has started cycling in 2011 Lance has completed the Challenged Athletes Foundation ride from San Francisco to San Diego 12 times.

In 2017 last became the first tandem hand cycle to enter an IRONMAN. In 2016 along with his teammate became the first challenged athlete to enter and finish the grueling Silver State, 508; a 508-mile race taking 49 hours.

Lance is not only passionate about Challenged Athletes Foundation but can also be found involved in another special nonprofit called Canine Companions.
