AMFM247 Media was founded in 2012 by Stuart Vener (Financial Partner) and Emma Dowd (Engineer/Producer). The company was the original name of the radio station they created. The station was founded on the principle that free speech must never be suppressed. At the time Stuart Vener had his own show “Stuart Vener Tells It Like It Is”. The show was on various FM and Internet radio stations across the US. Due to his political content many stations would start to censor him and his content because it went against the belief of their listener base. That’s when Emma went to work establishing their own station and by September 2012, AMFM247 was born.
By 2016 the station grew exponentially as it now incorporated a vast lineup of hosts with different points of view. They had four small FM/AM stations and their own Roku Channel.
In 2020, after complications from his surgery, Stuart Vener passed. In October 2020 Emma was named the CEO and she worked to take AMFM247 to new levels. One of the first things Emma did was to get a proper call letter for her online stream which was WREB. This allowed her to make AMFM247 the parent company and open opportunities for more radio stations. She streamlined the packages, did extensive marketing and redid their website and social media profiles. Today, Emma’s vision is alive and well as she grows AMFM247 Media to expand to television, print and radio; create a quality production department and PR/Marketing department to help her hosts and clients reach new audiences and achieve their dream of being a show host.
